Brushing Tips
If you want your teeth to last a lifetime, you have to take care of them. Brushing your teeth is a very important step in dental care since brushing regularly prevents tooth decay, cavities or gum disease.
Dentists recommend that teeth should be brushed at least twice a day for around 2-3 minutes. Spending less time brushing means that probably you haven't gotten rid of all the plaque that live on your teeth all the time. It is vital to remove this plaque daily to prevent these germs from causing cavities and damaging your gums and the bone around your teeth.

Always make sure that the toothbrush is in good condition and that the bristles are not worn out. It is advisable to change your toothbrush roughly every 4 months.
Wet your toothbrush and put a pea sized amount of toothpaste on top. Make sure that the toothpaste you choose contains fluoride and is recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA).
Move your toothbrush in short, gentle and circular strokes, cleaning all the three surfaces of your teeth.
Make sure to brush your gums gently. Placing the toothbrush at a 45 degree angle to your teeth will ensure that you clean just under the gumline.
Brush your tongue as far back as your toothbrush will go. This will kill off all the unpleasant bacteria present and freshens up your breath.
Spit out the toothpaste and rinse well with water or a good mouthwash.
Remember to floss regularly!
