Gonorrhea
This is a sexually transmitted disease normally referred to as the "drip" or the "clap". It is caused by a bacterium from the gonococcus family, which thrives in the warm, moist environment provided by the mucous membranes lining of the mouth, vaginam throat, cervix, urethra and rectum. The bacterium is spread by contact between the infected moist membranes of one individual and the membranes or another. While every form of sexual contact can potentially spread this bacteria, transfer does not necessarily occur with each contact.
The symptoms of gonorrhea do not occur every time. However, if they do occur, they appear within 2-21 days after exposure.
