Cystitis
Cystitis is caused by inflammation of the bladder. Women are mostly affected by this disease, in fact around 50 percent of adult women experience cystitis at some point during their lives. Cystitis is caused by a germ infection, known as bacterial urinary tract infection. If the bacteria infection spreads to the kidneys, cystitis can become a painful, serious and annoying health problem.
The most common type of cystitis is bacterial cystitis which is caused when bacteria enter the urinary tract through the urethra. The bacteria then multiplies rapidly to affect the bladder wall and possibly kidneys causing cystitis. At this point the patients experience pain in the back, vomiting and fever. These symptoms of the infection could even spread to the upper urinary tract.
Besides bacterial cystitis there are two other types of cystitis; these being
Interstitial cystitis
and Hemorrhagic cystitis (the least common form of cystitis).
Symptoms of Cystitis
The symptoms of cystitis include;
a burning sensation when urinating.
blood in the urine.
small amounts of urine passing frequently.

common modes of treatment for this infection include; include ciprofloxacin, amoxicillin, sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim, nitrofurantoin and trimpex.
